Tournament Rules
Play will be governed by the Rules of the United States Golf Association and by the following local rules: Format: Four-person scramble (swat). All players will hit a tee shot. The team will then select the best shot and all players will hit from the point toward the green, following the process until the ball is holed out. Once the ball is holed out, the hole is over and that is the team’s score for the hole. If your team is short a player, the remaining team members will rotate the shot to allow the team to have 4 shots from each location. Maximum score is double bogey. Prizes: Team and Individual Prizes will be awarded as follows: > Closest to the hole prizes will be available on hole #11 > Longest Drive on Hole #18. > The field is broken into two flights. The top three teams in each flight will receive prizes
Tees: • Gray Tees: Men ages 64 and younger • Gold Tees: Seniors Men ages 65 and older • Green Tees: Ladies Local Rules: Preferred Lies: You may lift, clean and place the ball within one club length throughout the course. The ball must remain in its’ original position. A ball in the rough must be played from the rough, a ball in the bunker must be played from the bunker and a ball off the green must be played from off the green. Ground Under Repair: Areas enclosed by white lines. Sodded areas around the collars of greens to be played as ground under repair. You have the option to play from that location or you may drop the ball behind the sodded areas no closer to the hole. You do not have the option to drop onto the green. Obstructions: Paved cart paths, mulched paths that lead into cart paths, water fountains and rain sheds are deemed obstructions. Relief is available without penalty under Rule 24-2B. Out of Bounds: Defined by white lines and white stakes. It is defined as the nearest inside point of the stake or line. Where lines and stakes are used, the line defines the margin of out of bounds. Distance Measuring Devices area allowed including ones that measure slope or grade. Signal for Suspending Play: To suspend play, we will sound 1 long horn blast. To resume play we will sound 3 short consecutive blasts. Cart Rules: Carts can be driven on the fairways today. Please exit the fairway to the green approximately 50 yards in front of the green.
