2018 & 2019 Supervisory Training Program: Unit 1 Registration
April 3 thru June 5, 2018

Full certification includes 6 units with 3 units per year. Each unit is 10 weeks to be held on Tuesdays from 5-7 pm. Space is limited. First come first serve basis.
Unit 1: Leadership and Motivation - describes the value of effective supervision of workers to improve the supervisor's ability to lead and motivate others. Unit 1 covers: the dollars and sense of people in construction, the role of the construction supervisor, helping people perform better, motivating and leading others, team building and much more. Must register by March 20th, 2018. Registrations received after this date will incur additional fees for overnight shipping of book.
Cost for Unit 1:
$300.00 per unit per person plus a $125 book fee for AGC members
$420.00 per unit per person plus a $125 book fee for non-members

Unit 2: Communication, June 12 thru August 14, 2018 - This course presents a body of knowledge and skills that today’s construction supervisors need in order to be effective communicators on their job site.
Unit 3: Planning & Scheduling, August 21 thru October 23, 2018 - This course will help construction supervisors understand ways in which planning and scheduling saves time and money, while increasing quality in the construction process.
Unit 4: Contract Documents, March 5 thru May 7, 2019 - This course will provide information about contract documents and construction law to help supervisors recognize the roles and responsibilities of all contracted parties, to develop an understanding of how contract documents can be helpful to solve problems and resolve conflicts, and to develop positive relationships between all parties in the construction process.
Unit 5: Improving Productivity and Managing Costs, May 14 thru July 16, 2019 - This course covers understanding how project estimates are compiled, how to compare actual project costs with those estimated and how to control costs to meet the estimate. This course also details how productivity is measured, how the supervisor plays a major role in increasing jobsite productivity and how a small increase in productivity can have a significant impact on the time and cost of a project.
Unit 6: Risk Managing Cost & Problem Solving, July 23 thru September 24, 2019 - This course will cover the roles and responsibilities of a construction supervisor in accident prevention and loss control.
